Have nothing really to say against the place. Just not an environment I would want to visit again. Anyway got there dark and left early again.
Perfect for a quick sleepover or longer with everything needed. Rooms have carpets, a very nice bathroom with space and a fridge and ample storage space. The bed is very comfortable too and nice and warm for the winter.
We only did a very short sleep over but staff was friendly and everything was pleasant.
Staff are very accommodating, I was very happy with the service.
I had a good time with my family in a quite place definitely it was what we were looking for.

Small, clean room with a bathroom. There is a fridge to share. The host was very friendly and helpful. We booked breakfast, and it was a decent meal.

You need a 4x4 vehicle to get to the entrance of the guest house. The dirt road leading to the guest house is destroyed and you will scrape the bottom of your vehicle to avoid the potholes. Upon arrival at the guest house you will have to brace yourself for a noisy stay. The location is close to the main road that runs past Port Edward and one hears the traffic constantly. The nearby taxi rank doesn't really help either. Don't expect too much for the price you pay. You can use a brown paper bag with one ear stick; a piece of cotton wool and a bar of soap without a "wrapping" expected upon your arrival. Remember this supply must last you and your fellow guests for the entire period of your stay. Also take your own towels and bed linen. Your one medium-sized towel will also have to last you the whole time you're there. The bed we had in Room 2 was as hard as a rock and I think the carpet would have been softer to sleep on but I wouldn't suggest it as I don't believe it has been washed since the 70's off when it was inserted. Speaking of a bed... We both complained of itchiness and feeling like something was walking over one's head while in bed. I assume this bed has also not been properly cleaned in years. Our fellow guests arrived so noisy that one night and woke up the whole guest house (including the neighbours, of course). We are really very disappointed with the Zesty guest house. The photos on the website look better than they actually are. Maybe the other rooms are better than the one we had, but we definitely won't stay there again.

Neat and clean. Provided a braai from our room. Close to the shopping centre and N2 which is sometimes noisy throughout the night.

Faucets for hot and cold are mixed up. Towels were a bit small and few for 5 guests.
The pool area was fantastic - even with the wind blowing as it always does on the South Coast, we were able to have lovely sheltered swims in the afternoons after spending the morning on the beach. The beautiful garden and how trees make that we could not even feel the wind and weather. Really a beautiful place!
We arrived at Zesty Guesthouse in Port Edward on Friday 25th September. On the way, the manager phoned to see what time we were coming so that our room was prepped. We told her 6 pm, but plans changed and we told them we were coming earlier. The cleaning lady, Jane made sure our room was spotless - even though we told her we didn't mind waiting. Jane welcomed us and did our check in. She was super! So friendly and happy to help! The whole building was beautifully decorated and our room was gorgeous. We were provided with towels, soap and even some rusks that were delicious. I would highly recommend a stay here! Easy access to Port Edward / close to the beach / safe / ample parking. Wow!
